Your prayers for the Home will be greatly appreciated! God hears and answers prayer, on very specific things as well! In general, these are our prayer requests:
Prayer for the Management - the senior staff of the Home need to make important decisions and need much wisdom, taking practical and spiritual matters into consideration. Please pray for wisdom for the management of the Home, including committees that decide on who enters the Home and who doesn't. Is is very important that only real believers enter the Home.
Prayer for the Residents - the residents are elderly, and some of them suffer from a few sicknesses at the same time, which makes it very hard for them. Please pray that the Lord will help them and make any suffering bearable, and that He will help them to remain joyful in their spirit. It is also important to pray for good relations among the resident. How easily the devil can cause two brothers or two sisters to be at odds with one another, especially when taking into consideration the completely different backgrounds from which these residents come. Please pray for true love and unity of the Spirit among the residents.
Prayer for the Staff and Volunteers - We really thank the Lord for the wonderful staff and volunteers He has given us. Things work well in the Home; the staff is trustworthy, reliable, and caring. The volunteers are committed, willing, and they're a lot of fun too! Please pray this situation continues and that God will let this Home be a testimony to all who come in contact with us.
Prayer for Protection - During the summer of 2006 many rockets fell on Haifa, some of these being in the area of the Ebenezer Home. The Lord answered the prayers of many saints around the world and protected us throughout the war. Some of our staff almost lost their lives but were spared both death and injury! Please pray that God will keep rockets away from Israel and from Ebenezer Home, as such period are quite stressful.
Prayer for Provision - Ebenezer Home lives mainly on donations of believers. We receive financial support from organisations and from individuals. The reason for this is that most of the residents in Ebenezer Home do not have the necessary means to pay the full price that would be required in order to upkeep a Home of this nature (the actual costs are very high); yet, it is for those people that this Home was intended. "Thus far the LORD has helped us"; please pray that the Lord will continue to uphold us and provide what we need to keep the Home running.
Apart from that, please stay in tune for specific updates and prayer requests by reading our newsletter.

You can make a general donation to Ebenezer Home or, if you choose, you can request that your donation will go towards covering a specific project. For the list of projects, please give us a call or send us an email (this is relevant to some organisations that, for legal reasons, can only donate to specific projects). Please provide an address for us to send a receipt and letter to.
Please see our volunteering page for more information on how to volunteer to Ebenezer Home. We have a few volunteers at a time, and we might have to ask you to apply in the future, if we are full for a few months.
Ebenezer Home will gladly accept volunteers from around the world. Please note though, that because of difficulties and restrictions imposed on us from the Ministry of Interior, it is hardly likely for us to be able to accept a volunteers' visa for volunteers from Africa and Eastern Europe. The reason for this is that the State of Israel has experienced that in general, people coming from these areas overstay their visa and work illegally, so this works against sincere Christian volunteers as well. If you do come from these areas, please understand the difficulty and note that though we would gladly accept you, some things are beyond our control. Perhaps the Lord will lead you to help in another place which He has chosen for you.
You can greatly help Ebenezer Home by telling people about it. In that way, people will be interested to know about us, will ask for our newsletter and Annual Reports, they will come for visits, pray for us, donate, visit the website, etc. That way, the Ebenezer Home can be on the hearts and minds of many people who would like to help believers in Israel in a very practical way. Ebenezer Home is the only home for aged believers in Yeshua who live in Israel. It is a sad reality that in modern days, many believers suffer from loneliness in their old age and do not receive the love and care that they need in their later years. With God's help, and yours too, the Ebenezer Home can provide a loving, spiritual environment for many residents, where they can receive help with daily life, where they have fellowship, activity and receive all the necessary medical care that they need in their golden age.
Thank you for taking the time to read this page. May the Lord bless you!
