In April this year we celebrated 40 years since Ebenezer Home first opened its doors to its residents. To say that God has done everything, from the first idea and vision of the Home, to its construction and to its every day of life and service, till the present day, will not be an overstatement. The Lord has been our strength and shield, our ever present help, our banner and our hiding place, our rock and our peace for all these 40 years, and He continues to be all that and more.
It is very important to remember what God has done and to pass it on to generations to come. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of our Home, a book was written and published with this title, "Remember What God Has Done". We wanted to honor and thank God and to preserve and share our history through this book. The book was initiated, written and edited by Hilary Falk and her team of four more precious women, who worked for three years to complete this labor of love. It's clearly impossible to include everything in one book, but it contains comprehensive history of the Home and how it relates to rebirth of Israel, history of pre-war and war Jewish life in Europe and stories of many residents, from different backgrounds, past and present, each of which will touch your heart.
The book is available for purchase; you can click here to see how you can order it.
The Lord has helped us thus far; He promised to be with us forever and to never forsake us. We are looking forward to the next 40 years of fulfilling the Home's vision and purpose and we give Him all the glory and honor.
