Tsnua modelling for a sketching session with the residents
It is never too late to learn something new! Our residents are all skilled in at least two areas, like music, arts, crafts, etc. And now they have an opportunity to learn how to draw and paint! Jonathan, our doctor's husband, is a professional painter, and he is volunteering once a week at the Home to teach our residents the joy of mastering this new skill. And they are excited! Our activity room was packed full as they started learning how to combine colors and use pencils for sketching.
Last week they were drawing from a live model - our very own Tsnua, who was sitting in the middle of the room as if the has been posing for artists all her life, doing her beautiful embroidery.
Other activities in the room were also going on - basket and rug weaving. Maggi, who is not a resident, comes in once a week to weave beautiful place rugs. Our activity room coordinator was very busy - preparations for our December mini-bazaar have started!
Please keep checking our website and Facebook page for more updates. There is always something interesting happening in our Home!
