Magda
Housemother - with all her heart, each and every moment
Magda has been working at the Ebenezer Home since 2012, and three of those years as the house mother. Her daily tasks are very diverse, like those of a mother ... ;)
She makes sure, the residents are well off, their rooms are furnished according to their needs, and if they have specific needs, she goes and shops for them. Another part of her daily work is domestic economics. Every week Magda meets with the kitchen staff to plan the menu, taking into account the diets of the individual residents. Magda also is the first person to contact about laundry and house cleaning. In short: She oversees everything related to the domestic economy. During the year, she organizes various feast celebrations for the residents in the Ebenezer Home or the adjacent garden. Magda is also in regular contact with suppliers, compares prices, and orders food.
The ambience at Ebenezer is very friendly. It feels like a second home to her, and Magda enjoys being at Ebenezer. She explains, "In my daily work, I experience how God gives me the strength, wisdom, and joy to accomplish all tasks. He brought me here. For me it's a privilege to serve Him and the residents here, and it's incredibly fun for me. I want to work for Him with all my heart, each and every moment."

Welcome to
THE NEXT BIG THING
-
Why all the effort? After more than forty years of the Ebenezer Home, the Health and Welfare Authority, the Fire Department, and the city council have ordered that all facilities in Israel must comply with the new standard and safety regulations. If not, they will lose their license. This means that the Ebenezer Senior Citizens Home would have to be closed!
-
What is our goal?We must continue to keep the senior citizens home open for our brothers and sisters in faith. For believers in Yeshua (Jesus), we are still the only home for the elderly in Israel, which is also run by like-minded people in faith. Residents want to live in a nursing home that represents Christian and Biblical values. They want to be looked after by a workforce that understands both their medical and spiritual needs. It is important for us to have Yeshua (Jesus), our Lord, as the foundation and center of all we do. May He get all the honor and thanks, that are due to Him alone.
-
What is to do?Together with specialists in medical care, the home management has the following vision for the retirement home: The facility will be renovated with regard to the building, and nursing care, and adapted to the new standards in Israel. In order to meet the ever-increasing nursing care for the believers of Israel, one floor will be converted into a licensed nursing ward with 14 beds. With this state-recognized nursing ward, we will also receive financial support from the state for each bed that is occupied. Nevertheless, we remain completely independent, so that we can implement and maintain our vision freely. We will still be able to continue to be run as a believing facility, with biblical values. This will not change. Due to high demand, another floor will also be added. It is our mission to our brothers and sisters, who have served the Lord all their lives, and are now in need of help, to make a believing home possible for them. It is not in our power to bring all this to fruition. Rather, it will be done by the grace of the one who redeemed us, our LORD and Messiah, Yeshua, the King of kings.
-
How can I help?Prayer support is immensely precious to us! We pray in faith that all this can be accomplished for the glory of God! We firmly believe that God himself moves the hearts of many people to help us. Without him it's impossible. More than ever, we depend on donations. Your contribution is to improve the lives of people who served the Lord for years and now need help.
-
What's next?As you can see, our project is taking shape. Amazed and thankful, we experience how God is constantly opening new doors for us. He leads us step by step through this project, and repeatedly confirms His support! Our project is still under development; we are curious to see where he will lead us. Our vision is to meet the high request, even if it requires another building. Apart from the planned nursing station, this would enable us to have a dementia and geriatric ward. This would not only give us more capacity (with the ability to care for more believers), but also more substantial benefits in terms of funding. Do not worry, this website will keep you up to date

1 COR 3:6-9
"I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building."
